Congratulations! You are among the first readers of this blog and two years from now when readership skyrockets to upwards of 37 people you'll be able to boast, "I've been riding with this guy from day one... I'm an O.G. and I understand all three of his inside jokes!"
Moment of honesty -- I've never really done any kind of writing outside of high-school or college essays and this is likely going to be a bit rough around the edges. So bear with me when I say that there is no earthly way of knowing what direction this blog is going (shout out to my boy Gene Wilder circa Willy Wonka). I'm counting on the vocal minority to speak up and tell me what you're interested in reading about.
Do you want to read about my travel experiences? Are you looking to learn more about shooting while traveling -- what gear to bring, etiquette, etc.? Maybe you're looking for my marginally helpful tips on portrait, street, and landscape photography. Do you want to learn how to maintain a well-balanced diet? Do you want editing insights?
These are things I need to know because this is the wild west folks. Besides... I don't want you to think of this as my blog. Think of it instead as our blog. You can help to shape it -- oh my god please help shape it because if you don't I'm just going to end up writing about the gripes I have with my daily commute on the CTA.
Rest assured, we're not entirely aimless as I've chosen the topic for the next post. It will likely revolve around my recent trip to Japan -- experiences (both good and bad) while there, maybe some videos, photos that I haven't shared anywhere else in the social media ecosystem. You'll be seeing blog-exclusive photos... how fun! Here's a little sneak peek:
Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to seeing where this all goes! Bonus points to everyone that read through this entire post. You're the realest.
Until the next one!
